Terminal 2

Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 Information.

Terminal 2 was Heathrow’s first terminal which was opened in 1955 named the Europa Building. Carrying over 8.5 million passengers, 28 airlines operate from this terminal. There are moving walkways linking terminal 2 to terminals 1 and 3.

Don’t Forget to check before you leave home you have remembered the following: Passports, Tickets and spare money in you hand luggage. Remember Enhanced security measures means that checking in can take longer than it used to. It is advised that you arrive at the airport in plenty of time. Check with your airline the allocated baggage allowance and don’t pack any of the following: Scissors, Razor blades, Knives with blades of any length, Household cutlery, Hypodermic needles (unless required for medical reasons), Knitting needles.

Check-in area is located on the ground floor of Terminal 2. Departures and arrivals areas is up one level on the first floor.

Important Information

International flights – check in 3 hours prior to departure.

European flights – check in 2 hours prior to departure.

Domestic flights – check in 1 hour prior to departure.

Arrivals information for Terminal 2

On the ground floor of Heathrow airport Terminal One is the area for arrivals for international arriving passengers. The baggage reclaim is also located here.

International connections do not need to go through Immigrations or Customs but all International to Domestic connections do.

Domestic to International connections can use the special Immigration check points if baggage is through-checked.

Terminal 2 Baggage storage is available 06.00 until 22.30 at a price of 4 per item per day.
